J J Adams is causing waves in the industry blending the parameters of different genres as a new media and mixed media artist.

Citing Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Sir Peter Blake as inspirations, his Tattoo Collection featured pictures of prominent figures - The Queen, Twiggy, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, to name a few - covered in tattoos. Emigrating with his family to South Africa from Plymouth in the early 80s, Adams was inspired by SA contemporary landscape artist Derric van Rensburg and worked as an apprentice at a tattoo studio in Cape Town before returning to the UK in 1998 where he studied art and design at college. Having already featured in Vogue, GQ and Cheshire Life magazine, Adams is fast becoming one of the UK's most talked about artists and you'd be pressed to find any of his collections that aren't sold out.
